A nursing student from the northern Arab town of Jadeidi-Makr passed away on Thursday after falling from her fourth-floor apartment in Amman, Jordan while hanging Christmas decorations last week.<\/p>\n

Dina Khalil, 22, was studying in the Hashemite kingdom, where she was initially treated for her injuries.<\/p>\n

But her father told Channel 12 that the hospital initially refused to provide her with adequate medical treatment because she had been unable to pay significant medical costs.<\/p>\n

Khalil\u2019s friends launched a crowdsourcing campaign to quickly raise the necessary funds, but her father said that his daughter\u2019s condition had deteriorated in the meantime.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was probably too late\u2026 because the hospital staff waited a long time before giving her the necessary treatment and she lost a lot of blood,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Khalil was transferred to Haifa\u2019s Rambam Medical Center earlier this week, where she was pronounced dead.<\/p>\n

The family decided to donate Khalil\u2019s organs, which the hospital said helped save the lives of five other people.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe didn\u2019t think about who would receive her organs. The important thing was to save lives. We are very happy with the decision but are sorry that this is what happened to our beloved daughter,\u201d her father said told Channel 12.<\/p>\n
