To highlight the occasion, his communications director, Kate Bedingfield, sent a \u201ccheat sheet\u201d to congressional Democrats and allies speaking about the \u201coverwhelming popularity of the President\u2019s economic agenda\u201d and \u201csignificant legislative record.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The memo declared that Mr. Biden was \u201cdelivering results for the American people\u201d by lowering prices \u2014 claiming that \u201cinflation is now at its lowest level since October 2021.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>To this, we ask \u2014 in what world is the Biden administration living?<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Biden and the Democrats\u2019 failed policies are squeezing Americans\u2019 wallets, robbing them of their hard-earned money. December\u2019s consumer price index soared by 6.5% compared with last year, remaining excessively high, with core consumer prices \u2014 excluding food and energy \u2014 rising 5.7% compared with last year. December marked the 21st straight month that wholesale inflation has been above 5% year over year.<\/p>\n<p>According to an Economist\/YouGov poll, 94% of Americans say they have been personally affected by high inflation. More than half of Americans believe the country is in a recession.<\/p>\n<aside>\n<\/aside>\n<p>Grocery prices have skyrocketed, with the price of eggs spiking in December from a year earlier. Last year, the average price of a dozen Grade A eggs was $1.93 in January. By December, the price had surged to $4.25. According to a report from The Washington Times, a number of states have cut grocery taxes to relieve working Americans struggling with runaway inflation.<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>Five of the 13 states that taxed groceries last year \u2014 Idaho, Illinois, Kansas, Tennessee and Virginia \u2014 have since passed laws reducing their cut from supermarket transactions. Consumer prices for food rose 11.8% in the 12 months ending in December, according to the most recent data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.<\/p>\n<p>This is as real average hourly earnings have fallen. Real average hourly earnings dropped 1.7% since last year, marking the 21st month in a row under Mr. Biden in which inflation has outpaced wages. Real wages have fallen every month since Mr. Biden passed his $1.9 trillion so-called American Rescue Act in 2021.<\/p>\n<p>According to a Quinnipiac poll, 57% of Americans disapprove of the way Mr. Biden is handling the economy, including 61% of independents \u2014 hardly the \u201coverwhelmingly popular\u201d agenda the White House would like you to believe. This month, Gallup said that one of its polls found 79% of U.S. adults projected a \u201cyear of economic difficulty\u201d for 2023, and 65% predicted it is more likely that prices \u201cwill rise at a high rate.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As working-class families struggle to make ends meet, voters know Democrats are to blame for rising prices. Along with passing the American Rescue Act, Democrats, in August, passed a $739 billion climate change bill, disingenuously called the \u201cInflation Reduction Act.\u201d Studies from the Tax Foundation, Penn Wharton Budget Model, Moody\u2019s and the Congressional Budget Office all found that the bill will either make inflation worse or do basically nothing to bring inflation down.<\/p>\n<p>Now, Mr. Biden is promoting his student debt bailout, which experts warn will cost taxpayers billions and hasten inflation.<\/p>\n<p>                        <a name=\"pagebreak\"\/><\/p>\n<p>After two years in office, Americans are fiscally worse off than they\u2019ve been in years.
