Look, we\u2019ve been very clear that the debt limit should be dealt with without conditions.\u00a0 We\u2019ve been very, very clear on that, and we continue to make that clear.\u00a0 And \u2014 and we believe that Congress should act in a bipartisan way \u2014 as they did three times in the last administration, as they did 78 times since 1960, 49 times with a Republican president, and 29 times with a Democratic president.<\/p>\n

This is incredibly important.\u00a0 We have seen reports that if a default happens, 6 million jobs could be lost.\u00a0 Right?\u00a0 We\u2019re talking about an economy that we saw the GDP, just the other day, at 2.9 percent growth, which is better than was antici- \u2014 expected.<\/p>\n

So we\u2019re seeing a growing economy.\u00a0 We\u2019re seeing record unemployment, 50-year low.\u00a0 We\u2019re seeing almost 11 [million] jobs created under this President.\u00a0<\/p>\n
